Are You Getting Enough Vitamin D?

You might be training hard, eating well, and staying hydrated… but if your Vitamin D is low, your body might still be running on low power.

Why it matters for young athletes:
Vitamin D keeps your bones strong, muscles powerful, and immune system ready to fight off fatigue and sickness. It’s what helps you grow, recover, and perform at your best  on and off the field.

Signs you might be low:
• You feel tired even after a good night’s sleep
• Muscles feel weak or sore for longer than usual
• You catch colds easily
• You’re not feeling your best during training

Why it happens:
• Not enough sunlight (especially if you train indoors or use sunscreen all the time)
• Not eating enough Vitamin D rich foods like eggs, salmon, or milk
• Spending most of the day in school or on screens instead of outdoors

How to fix it:
Get 15–20 minutes of sunlight each day
Eat foods high in Vitamin D
